Course Policies and Procedures

  • Courses: Each course consists of 6 lessons. Each lesson is 45 minutes long. The first 30 minutes is private, just the student and the instructor. The parent is welcomed back for “Show Off” time, which is the final 15 minutes. This of course does not apply to any adult students.

  • Scheduling: Course’s will be scheduled to meet the availability needs of both the student and the instructor. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available. The goal of “Can Do” Swimming is to complete each course within two weeks. This reinforces learning and helps eliminate regression between lessons.

  • Registration Fee: A one-time nonrefundable $25.00 registration fee is due prior to the first class. This fee covers the swimmer for all courses for one swim season.

  • Registration Form: Must be completed and returned with registration fee.

  • Tuition: Full payment for each course is due upon arrival of first class. Call for current fee schedule.

  • Refunds: No refunds will be given after first class.

  • Makeup Lessons: Make up lessons will be given if the instructor has to cancel due to in climate weather or personal reasons. Unfortunately, no make up classes will be given if the student is absent or drops out of the course.

  • Cancellations: A 24-hour notice is needed to reschedule a class. If you are unable to give the required 24-hour notice a charge of $40.00 per class will collected at the time of the rescheduling.
     

  •  Lesson Procedures:

    • Please be on time, as each lesson will always end on time. Parents must arrive back at the 30-minute mark to participate in the “Show Off” time.

    • Please have student’s hair in a tight ponytail if needed prior to lesson to avoid distractions. A silicone swim cap is also recommended.

    • Please remove all jewelry prior to lesson and leave in a safe place. “Can Do” Swimming is not responsible for any lost items

    • All students must use restroom prior to arrival of lesson.

    • Only approved swim diapers are allowed in pool.

    • Please do not eat prior to swim lesson.

    • Bring a cozy towel to lesson only. No goggles or toys.
